Edible Organic Green Tea Braised Cabbage

Ingredients:
1 head cabbage (thinly sliced)
1 green apple (cored, peeled & diced)
4 slices turkey or pork bacon (diced)
1 onion (sliced)
3 to 4 Tbsp sugar
2 cups chicken broth
1 Tbsp. Edible Organic Green Tea Leaves (finely chopped)
Cider vinegar or red wine
Salt to taste
Sachet
Optional red pepper flakes
Sachet – 4 whole cloves, 4 whole allspice, 1 cinnamon stick
Directions:
To make sachet – cut a square piece of cheese cloth and in center place cloves, allspice and cinnamon stick and tie.
Place bacon in large heavy sauce pan, add onions, edible organic green tea leaves, sugar cook until translucent. Add cabbage and stir until coated with bacon oil mixture. Add broth, apple and sachet bag.
Cover and simmer until cabbage is nearly tender (about 30 minutes). Add vinegar or red wine and simmer 10 minutes, remove sachet. Taste to ensure it is not tart, if needed add more sugar to taste.
